Spiritual Topography

Back in the chapter about “Energetic

Topography”, I promised you at the very end that we could use the knowledge about energetic topography to explain the emotional roots for disease.

Energetic topography defines the meridians of the body differently than Chinese acupuncture theory. The lines arrange with HT and SI in the centerline of the body and curve around the body as follows: HT, LV, PC, SP, LU, KD, LU, SP, TW, GB, ST, BL, and SI. As these meridians are sub-lines and not real lines of force, I am going to call them “meridians” or “channels” in this chapter.

Fu Xi Wen meridians are different from Chinese meridians. For instance, all Fu Xi Wen meridians are found on every limb. And the meridians flip-flop Yang to Yin and Yin to Yang at every body segment. So, for instance, the KD channel is found at the midline of the back of the thigh where traditional Chinese theory would place the BL. The LU channels are found on either side of the KD. The SP channels are found lateral to the outside LU and medial to the inside LU, with the lateral lines taking over the location of the traditional location of the ST channel on the shins.

Furthermore, every energetic box of the body is ringed by vertical angles: (closest to the feet) HT, LV, PC, SP, LU, KD, BL, LI, ST, TW, GB, and SI (closest to the top of the head). The HT from one energetic box combines with the SI of the adjacent box to create the lines of force.

I believe that the founders of acupuncture theory new about Fu Xi Wen lines but that they simplified the theory to make it easier to fathom.

Emoteishin And Topography

Emoteishin teaches us how to feel emotions in a specific syntax to send energy to specific places in our bodies. There are three basic structural components to the syntax: the Five Element Emotion that moves the energy at the tissue, the Emo-Tissue that defines the tissue-angle, and the Energetic Zone.

The Emo-Tissue has two parts: the first emotion relates to the vertical angle. The second emotion relates to the horizontal angle. Each vertical angle has an associated height. Each horizontal angle has an associated meridian. Each energetic box has an associated Energetic Zone.

So, when we mix all of this together, we get the following: by feeling specific emotions in specific orders we can send energy to very specific points along the meridian system.

Very important: Meridians relate to our emotions about other people. Tissues relate to our emotions about ourselves.

The Emoteishin sentence to treat a problem at a meridian is as follows: I feel Five Element Emotion about other people's vertical emotion (the specific height) about other people's horizontal emotion (specific meridian) in the Energetic Zone. Together, the vertical emotion and the horizontal emotion create an Emo-Tissue. But fact of point, they also define a

specific location along a meridian as well.

Example Topographic Emoteishin

Let's say you have a shoulder ache in the joint (HT) of the shoulder along the LI meridian. You can practice perfusion technique with Emoteishin to clear that pain very easily. For instance you can feel love and integrity (the Five Elements for Fire (HT) and Metal (LU)) in other people's love of other people's judgment (“love” is the HT emotion to send to joint level and “judgment” is the LI emotion to send to LI meridian) about other people's belief's and values (sends to the Energetic Zone from armpits to lower jaw).

How about pain at the base of your skull at the lateral (outside) part of your occiput. This height level relates to the SI. This meridian relates to the BL. So, the perfusion technique sentence would be: I feel unconditional love and confidence (emotions of Fire (SI) and Water (BL)) in other people's unconditional love (SI) for other people's willpower (BL) about other people's belief systems and values (Energetic Zone from armpits to lower jaw).

Spiritual topography is excellent when dealing with pains because pains often align perfectly with meridians. But you can use it also for tissue related problems. In this case, you would not use “other people” at the end of the sentence, but would replace that with “my”. When you talk about other people you treat the meridian, when you talk about yourself, you treat the tissues.

Let's say you have eczema behind the knees. Behind the joints is the level of HT or SI. The acute problem is in the skin (the chronic problem is deeper) at LI(LU). So perfusion in the Earth level of the skin would consist of: I feel integrity (Five Element Metal emotion for LI and LU) in the love of my integrity in my judgment (“love” to reach joint level, “integrity” for LU and “judgment” for LI) about other people's physical ability to feel basic emotions (Energetic Zone of the knees).

You can also now look at disease as a book to be read. Water excess pain in the LI of the shoulder? Well that is fearing to love the judgments of other people's belief systems. Eczema behind the knees? That is thinking too much (causing heat) about loving the integrity of your judgments. What does it mean to “love” in this context? Sadly, I cannot answer that for sure. Perhaps it has to do with flow and change – qualities of Fire. Or perhaps it has to do with paying attention.
